Aromas and flavors of the royal Thai kitchen

After delighting yourself to some Spanish food, we head out again into the street to reach our next destination- an authentic Thai restaurant. The owner's parents actually used to cook for the king of Thailand! Over the past few years, the popularity of the place's Thai cuisine has grown considerably and as a result, has evolved from being merely a quaint hole in the wall/karinderia to a large restaurant building capable of serving more than a hundred guests.
If ever you enter, be sure to familiarize yourself with Thai cuisine's balance of the five basic flavors- spicy, sweet, salty, sour, and bitter. Because the food in this place specializes in this traditional method which you are bound to notice in dishes like Pad Thai and Tong ka gai, a Thai version of sinigang.
